Cell to Singularity!

This is the first large choral work I sang as a member of the newly formed RTÉ Philharmonic Choir in Dublin in the early 1980s. I was winging it as a new member, a credible tenor but couldn't sight read for toffee!! But I got there. Haven't listened to this piece in decades and forget about those very long, sustained noted the choir have towards the end and all at the top of their range, sheer cruelty, but what a piece!!

Moon landing

When my dad died in car accident he was 45, local news announced his passing and funereal date trough public town broadcast and before the announcement this masterpiece was playing. To this day it reminds me how i was standing in opened window in my work, listening to this with tears in my eyes.
